Build the skills necessary to effectively train others in health and safety. Learn to design, develop and deliver workplace health and safety training programs using a wide range of instructional methods. Explore various approaches to instruction, including participatory techniques and tips for engaging a specific audience and facilitating discussions and small group activity methods. Topics include:
- Adult learning principles
- Assessing audience needs
- Course development
- Instructional methods
- Presentation techniques
- Evaluation and feedback
You will develop and deliver a presentation using the techniques covered and are encouraged to bring work-related projects and supporting materials. A laptop computer is recommended, but not required. This is a required course for the Health and Safety Training Professional Concentration.
